We set our prices against the big national printers, the Sticker Mule, VistaPrint and Staples kind, product by product, and we aim to come in under them on the same piece at the same size and quantity. We check those prices regularly and most of the catalog lands lower. But they run sales, we do not see everything, and now and then we miss one. So here is the promise.
The promise
If you find the same product for less at a national online or retail printer, bring us the price before you order. We will match it and then take up to 10% more off, as far down as what the job costs us to produce. We will not go under our own cost, but we will go all the way to it. In plain terms: we would rather print your job at break-even than watch it print somewhere else.
How to claim it
- Find the lower price and grab the link or a screenshot that shows the product, the size, the quantity, the material or stock, the finish, the number of sides, the turnaround and the shipping cost to your address.
- Email it to sales@print.doctor with the product you want from our catalog, or reply to any quote we have sent you. Do this before you place the order.
- We verify the price, usually the same business day, and set the matched price on your account. Then you order as normal and it prints behind the same file check as everything else.
What "the same product" means
Print is not one thing. A 3 inch sticker on laminated white vinyl is a different product from a 3 inch paper sticker, and 250 business cards on 16pt stock are not 250 cards on 14pt. We compare like for like: the same product type, size, quantity, material or stock, finish and number of sides, with a comparable turnaround. We compare the delivered price, so shipping to your address counts on both sides. If their piece is thinner, uncoated, unlaminated, cut differently or ships slower, it is not the same product. We will say so, and we will usually show you what their spec would cost from us instead.
What counts as a price
- A current, publicly listed price from an established printer in the United States, online or retail, that we can open and see for ourselves at the time you send it.
- A price anyone could pay today, at the quantity you are ordering, with no code, credit or membership required.
What does not
- Sale, clearance, closeout and limited-time promotional prices; coupon codes; first-order, referral, loyalty, membership and account credits; free-shipping thresholds; bundle pricing.
- Marketplaces and auction sites (third-party sellers on Amazon, Etsy, eBay, Temu, Alibaba, Fiverr and the like), print brokers, wholesale or trade-only pricing, and prices from outside the United States.
- Typos, pricing errors and prices we cannot verify ourselves when you bring them to us.
- Design services, file fixes, rush turnaround, proofs and samples. The promise covers the printed piece.
- Items marked "Pricing on request" and custom-quoted work. Those are priced to your spec and we are glad to talk about them, but they sit outside this promise.
The fine print, in plain words
- The match is set before you order. It is not applied to orders already placed, in production or shipped, so bring it to us first.
- "Our cost" is what it takes to produce that job: materials, the trade printer's charge where one is involved, and the freight to get it made and to you. We do not publish that number, and where a match lands between their price and that floor is our call. Up to 10% more off is the ceiling; our cost is the floor.
- If their price is already at or below our cost on that job, we will tell you straight and match it where we can. Sometimes the honest answer is "we cannot beat that one."
- The promise applies once per product line per order, at the quantity you bring us, and is not combined with other discounts or promotions.
- Prices at other printers change daily and so do ours. A matched price is good for the order it was set for, for 14 days. It does not carry to later orders, though you are welcome to bring us the next one too.
- We may decline a match we cannot verify, and we may change or end this promise at any time. An order already matched is honored.
